About this experience

This tour is designed for those who want to discover Prague Castle at a relaxed pace, without rushing. Because it is a private experience, we can adapt the walk to your group: stopping for photos, enjoying the views or simply taking a few extra minutes to admire the city from one of the castle’s viewpoints.

Rudolf II: genius, madman… or both?

Among all the kings and emperors who lived in Prague Castle, one figure always steals the spotlight: Rudolf II.

A Habsburg raised in one of the most powerful dynasties in Europe… and also one of the most obsessed with keeping its bloodline “pure.” Let’s just say that sometimes the family trees looked more like circles than trees.

Genius, eccentricity, and alchemists

Rudolf was brilliant, eccentric and quite unpredictable. He loved art, collected strange objects and filled his court with astronomers, alchemists and curious characters who promised to uncover the secrets of the universe.

But while some were searching for gold in their laboratories, others began to wonder if the emperor himself might be losing his mind. His castle slowly became something between an imperial palace, a cabinet of curiosities… and a small theater of madness.

And thanks to this extraordinary emperor, Prague became for a time one of the most fascinating, mysterious and unusual cities in Europe.

A private experience, at your own pace and only for your group. Good humor guaranteed.

4799 CZK (or apx 200 €) per group (up to 10 people).

The price is the same whether you are 2, 4 or even 10 people. For example, in a group of 6 people the cost is approximately 33 € per person for a private experience.

If the group is larger than 10 people, the supplement is 360 CZK (apx 15 €) for each additional person. The price is fixed in CZK, but payment can also be made in euros or dollars.

Simply choose your preferred tour and time, then fill out the short reservation form. You’ll get a confirmation email right away – no payment needed in advance.

👉 After booking, you can also view, modify, or cancel your reservation anytime through our
tour panel. If you ultimately cannot attend, we would greatly appreciate it if you could cancel your reservation in advance. That way, we give other travelers the opportunity to join the experience! 😊

Comfortable walking shoes, a bottle of water to keep you going, and plenty of enthusiasm for a great time. Optional: An umbrella, in case the sky decides to get dramatic. ☁️🌧️

Don’t worry—just let us know. You can cancel or change your date at any time, and our guides will truly appreciate the heads-up (honestly!). You can easily manage your booking in the Tour Panel.
